What is the strengths-based approach?

The strengths-based approach assumes that every employee has personal talents and strengths.

This approach focuses on developing the individual talents and strengths of employees rather than addressing weaknesses, enabling your company to harness the full potential of each employee.

Strengths Workshop

Why the strengths-based approach?

Three out of four employees are only performing the minimum required. One in five employees has already mentally quit. The strengths-based approach can counteract this. You will gain:

  • Engaged, motivated, and satisfied employees – those who do what comes naturally to them approach their work with enthusiasm and leave satisfied.

  • High-performing and productive employees – those who work in line with their strengths maximize their potential and achieve higher productivity.

  • Emotionally committed employees – those who are given the chance to use their strengths are more likely to stay and reduce turnover.

What we offer

Using the Clifton StrengthsFinder Assessment, we identify the individual strength profiles of your employees. In the workshop, we impart a strengths-based mindset, facilitate the understanding of team members' strengths, and make your team's strengths actionable.

How the strengths workshop works

Preparation (approx. 2-3 weeks before):

  • Receive the book StrengthsFinder 2.0 (or Strengths Based Leadership for leaders).

  • Complete the Gallup StrengthsFinder Assessment and receive the individual strength profile (approx. 20 minutes).

Workshop:

  • The strengths-based approach (theory). Deepening knowledge of personal strengths (individual work).

  • Discussion with team members about individual strengths (small group work).

  • Learning about team members' strengths in action (team challenge).

  • Reflection on strengths for individual challenges (small group work).

  • Providing tools for implementing the strengths-based approach for leaders and their teams (theory).

Follow-Up:

  • Summary of workshop content (Reading Box).

  • Sending tasks and exercises to deepen the learning.

How Your Employees Will Benefit

  • They understand what 'strength' means and why working with a strengths-based approach is economically beneficial.

  • They know their individual strength profile and what it reveals about them.

  • They develop plans for using their strengths in daily work.

  • They get to know the strengths of other team members and can now work together in a strengths-based way.
