What is Change Management?
The terms 'Change,' 'Transition,' and 'Transformation' refer to moving from one state to another. An intended change can relate to various areas, such as structure, organization, or culture. Thus, a change can range from a small project to a merger. While organizational development focuses internally on people, processes, and structures, the economically-based 'Change Management' approach emphasizes strategies in addition to processes and structures, continually considering the external environment. However, we question whether change can truly be 'managed' or if it is more about 'accompanying' change. In our workshops, we combine the perspectives, approaches, and tools from both organizational development and change management.

Why Change Management?

Four key issues often lead to project failure:
-
Resistance from leaders and employees
-
Lack of project control
-
Too rapid a pace of change
-
Unclear objectives and vision

The primary reason for resistance from leaders is fear of losing influence and status. Employee resistance typically stems from a lack of emotional support during the transition.
Only a comprehensive approach to managing change that addresses these known failure points can ensure project success.
